Marketing for Jungle Book
Disney introduced a law of the jungle website in partnership with tumblr; ran special imax promotions focusing on Kaa and created a touring VR experience.
Other sectors of Disney helped promote the fiom, for example Disney Channel promoted the film as one of the first blockbusters for families.
Disney Theme Parks offered sneak peak footage of the jungle book.
Disney pitched the Jungle Book to male audiences on ESPN, said the film came from the studio that made Pirates of the Caribbean and not Cinderella. They attached a trailer to the new star wars film. And had a trailer for the Superbowl. Disney promoted the film with clips on telenovelas, talk shows and sports coverage
To appeal to teens, the trailers were orientated to show scary clips or action scenes and hid any of the musical numbers. Social media was used to promote the film.
Disney have released a wide selection of merchandise for the lion king. They can be customized with your own messages and are available online. Included are mugs, t-shirts, pillows, a lamp, kanvas art and more.
